Smith Pub
Work created collaboratively with Chris Klink.
Linda Derschang approached a friend of mine to work on her newest brainchild, Smith, before the bar had even begun construction. She described the future establishment as "where the east coast circa 1750-1900 carriage driver eats and drinks, not where his master eats and drinks, and kind of punk rock." She asked us to create a look and feel for the menu and graphics with a hand rendered, slightly macabre twist. The interior of the bar is decorated with taxidermy and early American paintings. All of the furniture and flooring was constructed out of second hand wood, torn out of the floor of an old high school.
